Boise Rescue Mission Ministries is seeking full – time experienced Maintenance Tech candidates to join the maintenance team.

The Maintencance Coordinator must hold to the doctrine and constitution/by-laws of the Mission. The Food Services Cook must be a regular attendee of a local church and be willing to sign and adhere to the Mission’s Statement of Faith.

Job Summary:

The position reports to the Director of Maintenance and will provide support in the day-to-day building maintenance, operational activities and repairs at all Mission facilities

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
  • Performs hands‑on maintenance related activities including: painting, plumbing, electrical, patching walls, repairing doors, windows, locks, etc.
  • Communicates regularly with Director of Maintenance to ensure good two‑way communication concerning maintenance issues.
  • Carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
  • Utilizes computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders and maintenance history of RM facilities
Knowledge/skills:
  • Requires sound judgment regarding use of equipment, tools, material, and manpower.
  • Proven general “handy-man” talents and skills e.g. excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and follow‑through skills.
  • Skill in operation of motorized vehicles, power and hand tools and equipment for vehicle and mechanical system work; mechanic’s tools including jacks, hydraulic lifts, air tools, and other tools required for repairs and routine maintenance.
  • Ability to prioritize requests, follow procedures and keep accurate records.
  • Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast‑paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining professional, flexible, proactive, resourceful, confidential and efficient.
  • Strong decision making ability, problem analysis and solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with staff, students and guests in person and on the phone.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Good physical condition, able to lift 50 lbs. safely.
  • Maintains an acceptable driving record (in accordance with our insurance carrier)
