Controls Service Technician

Travel:
Infrequent; local Boise area support with limited travel to Eastern Idaho

We are seeking an experienced controls technician with a background in building automation, BACnet‑based systems, and electronics troubleshooting. This position will support our existing Phoenix Controls install base with diagnosis, retrofit upgrades, and lead programming, startup, and commissioning for new installations.

• Programming, startup, and commissioning
• Generate and design wiring diagrams in AutoCAD
• Serve as primary on‑site technical representative coordinating owners, contractors, manufacturers, TAB firms, and commissioning agents
• Troubleshoot airflow, space pressurization, temperature/humidity control, fume hood face velocity, and control system issues in critical environments
• Troubleshoot network communication and coordinate with IT or DDC integration.
• Support and grow service and maintenance contracts with end users
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and end users
• Attend ongoing factory and internal training

• 3+ years of experience in building automation or HVAC controls
• Familiarity with Niagara N4, BACnet IP / MS-TP, and control wiring diagrams
• Working knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems and airflow principles
• High integrity, strong interpersonal skills, and professional demeanor
• Ability to work independently while taking direction from senior leadership

• Experience with laboratory, healthcare, or cleanroom HVAC systems
• Experience with Phoenix Controls or critical space pressure systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science
• Commissioning or TAB coordination experience
