Tent Rental Delivery Team Member (Drivers & Helpers) job at Classic Party Rentals of Virginia Inc. North Chesterfield, VA.
Tent Setup and Breakdown:- Coordinate and execute the setup and teardown of tents and associated equipment according to client specifications and safety guidelines.
- Ensure all components are in good working order and properly installed, including tents, sidewalls, lighting, and other accessories.
- Conduct pre-event inspections and post-event debriefs to address any issues or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of tent inventory, including sizes, types, and quantities.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on tent equipment to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
- Assist in the organization and storage of tent components and related supplies.
- May work closely with clients and event coordinators to understand their needs and provide recommendations on tent configurations and layouts.
- Address any client concerns or requests related to tent rentals in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure all setups are completed on schedule and to the client’s satisfaction.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safe installation and use of tent equipment.
- Stay informed about industry standards and regulations related to tent installation and event safety.
- Work effectively with other team members to coordinate efforts and ensure smooth operations.
- Provide training and guidance to new or less experienced staff members as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of setup and breakdown times, client interactions, and any issues encountered.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices and new products.
- Contribute to a positive work environment and company culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Tent Department Manager or Operations Director.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required. Construction or landscaping experience is comparable.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading rental equipment.
- Stamina to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Capability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills, able to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, depending on event schedules.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
- Must pass the company drug screen (excluding marijuana).
- Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
