Housekeeper – Evening Shift

Positions primarily responsible for daily cleaning and sanitizing of UREC facilities including the Student Recreation Center, Quinn Center, Mt. Mitchell Fitness Center, State Farm Fields Restroom Facility, Broadstone Park Facilities, and the Bike App Trailer. The role also provides support to UREC programs and services through event setup and breakdown and assists maintenance staff within and outside the facilities. During winter weather, snow and ice removal at entrances and walkways is required.

• Cleaning restrooms and locker rooms, including toilets, urinals, showers, sinks, countertops, and mirrors
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Trash removal
• Operating floor cleaning equipment
• General disinfection and sanitization of all UREC areas
• Assisting with snow and ice removal during winter

• Follow written and oral directions and standard operating procedures
• Perform a variety of housekeeping duties with moderate to heavy physical effort
• Communicate effectively with co‑workers, students, and program participants
• Basic computer skills (email, calendar, payroll updates, performance management)
• Work with cleaning and disinfecting chemicals and equipment
• Lift moderate to heavy materials and equipment regularly
• Maintain steady work throughout the shift
• Operate ASU vehicles with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Experience as a housekeeper or custodian in an educational or health‑care environment
• Experience operating floor maintenance equipment
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
• Obtain any required certifications

Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm to 12:00 am; 40 hours per week with an additional 10% shift differential pay for evening shifts. Physical demands include lifting equipment up to 50 lbs and performing heavy effort r’s license with clean record required for vehicle operation.
