Samaritans Purse is seeking a Housekeeper to join the Housekeeping Team at our Boone, NC campus. As part of this team, you will share the responsibility for cleaning and maintaining buildings and offices throughout our Boone campus, supporting many ministry arms in sharing Jesus with the world.

Hours: 9:00am-5:30pm

A Day in the Life of a Housekeeper:

In the role of Housekeeper, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness to Him
• Clean buildings, offices, and restrooms by sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, and caring for floors
• Clean furniture, carpets, windows, blinds, doors, jambs, refrigerators, sinks, toilets, light fixtures, countertops, and windows
• Empty sanitary receptacles and remove trash from all buildings
• Report any maintenance or safety items encountered during scheduled work
• Work with other staff to coordinate special assignments, completing tasks and duties assigned by the Housekeeping Manager
• Clean off‑site areas as directed
• Assist with annual spring cleaning of all buildings
• Follow the planned cleaning schedule set by the Housekeeping Shift Supervisor
• Restock supplies and refill soap and tissue dispensers
• High school diploma or GED and three (3) months of related housekeeping experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• General knowledge of basic cleaning and ability to learn the Samaritans Purse cleaning standards
• Ability to solve simple problems that may arise during a workday
• General knowledge of cleaning chemicals
• General knowledge of housekeeping safety protocols

Job Location: Boone, NC

Type: Full Time

Schedule: 9:00am-5:30pm

Language Requirement: Fluency in English
