As a Hospital Housekeeper at UNC Health Appalachian, you'll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare team members. Compensation:
Starts at $16.00/hour

Schedule:

Flexible PRN or Part-time schedule

• Work alongside experienced healthcare professionals
• Build teamwork, communication, and customer service skills

What You'll Do

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, hallways, and public areas.
• Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment throughout the hospital.
• Restock supplies and assist with departmental organization.
• Follow infection prevention and safety procedures.
• Properly handle waste and recyclable materials.
• Work as part of a team to support patient care through environmental cleanliness.
• Provide friendly and professional interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.

Who We're Looking For

No healthcare experience is required.

We're seeking employees who are:

• At least 16 years of age.
• Dependable and willing to learn.
• Positive team players with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable following instructions and safety procedures.
• Interested in gaining professional work experience.
• Able to communicate respectfully with patients, visitors, and staff.

Physical & Work Environment

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching.
• Ability to move cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and healthcare environments.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when appropriate.
