Maintenance Supervisor
At Terr Ascend, we cultivate high‑quality cannabis products while fostering a culture of quality, care, and community. The Maintenance Supervisor leads the facilities and maintenance team to keep the cultivation and processing facility operating at full capacity with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of work orders and projects.
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee the repair of faulty equipment, systems, and damaged structures.
- Manage and maintain HVAC, heating, plumbing, and electrical systems to guarantee functionality.
- Manage repairs and maintenance of automated packaging and labeling systems.
- Lead maintenance and preventative maintenance (PM) programs, including development, scheduling, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reporting systems.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized working environment throughout the facility.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance staff on procedures, safety practices, and equipment use.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management of maintenance personnel.
- Coordinate with cultivation, processing, and compliance teams to minimize operational disruptions.
- Oversee general facility upkeep, including landscaping, painting, and carpentry as needed.
- Work flexible shifts as needed to support critical production tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a regulated environment (cannabis, pharmaceutical, food production, etc.).
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Black Seal Certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a cannabis cultivation or processing facility.
- Experience with greenhouse maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Experience developing and managing preventative maintenance programs.
- Understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong computational skills and familiarity with Office suite.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Experience maintaining automated packaging and labeling equipment.
- Must satisfy the minimum age criteria mandated by applicable state cannabis regulations for this role.
- Background check required.

This position requires working in an environment that contains high amounts of plant matter and pollen. Areas of the facility can reach high or low temperatures with high humidity levels. Employees may be exposed to conditions such as dust, plant matter, and particles that affect the respiratory system, eyes, or skin. Protective gear, including eye and ear protection, is mandatory. Certain areas use harsh chemicals for cleaning such as bleach, and repetitive movements may occur.
