Location:
Dorchester, MA – Adolescent Metro Program. This is an all-male adolescent detention Department of Youth Services (DYS) facility
Schedule:
Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00am-6:00pmPay rate: $18.00-$20.00/hour Benefits:

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for:
Maintaining all machinery, equipment, and the physical plant.
Responding to maintenance issues of the Metro Support and the coordination of maintenance services for other Department of Youth Services (DYS), vendor, and other state programs located on the Metro campus.
Cleaning and maintenance of the facilities and grounds.
Landscaping and overall maintenance of the appearance of the grounds.
Scraping, sanding, and painting, when needed, throughout the facility and grounds.
Removal and disposal of all garbage throughout the facility and grounds.
Snow and ice removal throughout the facility and grounds.
Qualifications:
A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in the maintenance field required.
Valid driver’s license.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Good written and verbal communication skills preferred; experience working in a fast-paced environment preferred.
Ability to use and operate snowplows, snow throwers, and basic power tools preferred.
Ability to interact with residents on an appropriate level required.
Must attend annual mandatory in-service and education program#CON
