Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer
Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at a leading pharmaceutical facility. The successful candidate will perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of facility equipment and systems to ensure smooth operations and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become critical.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Monitor and manage building automation systems to maintain optimal performance.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance and repair work.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and inventory of supplies.
- Respond promptly to building emergencies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Assist in the implementation of energy‑saving initiatives and sustainability practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to support facility‑related projects and improvements.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions to determine necessary repairs and minimize downtime.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and facility regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in accordance with GMP requirements.
- Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Identify and report safety hazards and work with the team to implement corrective actions.
- Ensure maintenance work is performed to the highest quality standards to maintain equipment reliability and performance.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Qualified to pass a security screening.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance within the pharmaceutical or related manufacturing industry.
- Technical diploma or certification in a relevant field (e.g., electrical, mechanical, HVAC) is preferred.
- Knowledge of GMP processes and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Additional certifications in safety, HVAC, or electrical systems are a plus.

Pay range: $37 to $43 per hour
