Building Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Property Manager and contractors to ensure tenant satisfaction
• Provide daily support to tenants and contractors, maintaining a professional and responsive presence
• Perform hands‑on maintenance and repairs, including minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting systems, and general office infrastructure
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, including HVAC filter changes and routine equipment checks
• Evaluate and respond to tenant service requests in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
• Conduct routine inspections of office buildings, common areas, and grounds to identify and address maintenance needs and safety hazards
• Manage and complete work orders using established systems and procedures
• Support building operations during inclement weather, including snow removal and ensuring safe access for tenants and visitors
• Participate in shared on‑call rotation to address after‑hours building needs and emergencies

• 2 years minimum experience in commercial office building maintenance or similar environment preferred
• Dependable and self‑motivated
• Professional appearance and friendly
• Basic clerical and computer skills
• Working knowledge of building systems typical of office properties, including HVAC (rooftop units, split systems), lighting controls, plumbing fixtures, and basic electrical systems
• Experience supporting tenant‑occupied office spaces, with a strong customer service mindset and professional communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, cleanliness, and maintaining a professional office environment
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple service requests in an active tenant setting
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks
