EVS Associate II - 3pm - 11:30pm - Rotating weekends and holidays

Position Summary

Environmental Services (EVS) Associate II – full time, 3pm to 11:30pm, rotating weekends and holidays. Cleans and services all areas of the hospital to maintain a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition. Responds to fire or disaster codes as directed by supervisor or manager.

• Selects cleaning materials and supplies and prepares chemicals according to procedure.
• Loads maid’s carts and transports to work area.
• Washes furniture, tile, fixtures, and equipment with germicidal cleaning solutions, and cleans high‑touch areas such as door knobs, handrails, telephone, wall plates, light switches, and monitor housings.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and spot‑cleans carpets; arranges furniture and equipment orderly after cleaning.
• Requests cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
• Operates various mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment.
• Notifies manager of equipment needing repair and reports safety hazards.
• Maintains carts and equipment in an orderly manner.
• Climbs ladders to hang cubicle or window drapes when required.
• Collects waste from all areas of responsibility, including hazardous waste per policy.
• Cleans isolation rooms during patient stay and after discharge.
• Clears operating suites with proper cleaning solutions per departmental procedures.
• Arranges furniture for meetings and assists with delivery of laundry carts to patient areas when asked.

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent (preferred).
• Some related work experience preferred; willing to train available.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Accounts for cleanliness quality, safety, security, patient confidentiality, and employee confidentiality.
• Reports to supervisor any incomplete beds and required discharge sheets.

Compensation range: $17.54 – $26.06 per hour. Total compensation includes medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, 403(b) savings match, paid time off, and other benefits.
