Job Title
Supervises general building maintenance and janitorial functions. Responsibilities are to be carried out in a manner consistent with all applicable safety procedures and policies.
ResponsibilitiesEssential duties include:
- Overseeing daily work of maintenance technicians.
- Touring the site daily, reporting and resolving any problems that may put the infrastructure ecting maintenance staff to resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner.
- Assisting contracted vendors with preventative maintenance program, troubleshooting, and modification.
- Operating diagnostic equipment as directed and complying with the manufacturers' recommendations.
- Determining the status of diagnosed equipment and advising of corrective actions.
- Maintaining records of maintenance checks and repairs.
- Assisting in reviewing and reporting of incidents.
- Working with facilities staff in providing support.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Skills, education, and experience include:
- Bachelor's degree plus professional certification (e.g., CFM) preferred.
- Minimum 3 years facilities maintenance supervisory/management experience, preferably in commercial real estate.
- Ability to work well with a variety of different individuals both inside and outside of Newmark.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Position requires a minimal amount of supervision while also adhering to the policies and procedures and owner objectives.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions.
