This is a customer-facing role where strong technical skills meet great service. If you take pride in your trade, enjoy solving problems, and want to grow your career in commercial building operations, this is a role where your impact will be felt every day.

You Will Be Responsible For Mechanical Systems Operation & Maintenance

  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) tasks on schedule, along with routine repairs, minor plumbing repairs and drain cleaning
  • Support the water treatment program, including recording and reviewing weekly readings
  • Follow department policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials
Customer (Tenant) Relations & Service Response
  • Respond to and resolve tenant service requests logged through the software-based tenant request system in a timely manner, keeping tenants informed throughout
  • Troubleshoot recurring issues to proactively improve tenant comfort and building performance
  • Deliver a customer-focused experience that models Oxford's values
Contractor Support, Energy & General Duties
  • Support and monitor contracted work to ensure it is completed safely and in compliance with building standards
  • Execute energy awareness and conservation initiatives (e.g., the MACH energy program) and the asset-specific sustainability program in partnership with property management
  • Support the Chief Engineer and Senior Engineer with construction, capital and special projects as needed, including plan review support and proper close-out documentation
  • Assist with the building Operational Audit and perform miscellaneous maintenance tasks in support of the broader Property Management and Operations team
Required Skills & Experience
  • Building systems experience:
Hands-on experience operating and maintaining HVAC, BAS, electrical, plumbing and life safety systems in a commercial / Class "A" or comparable facility
  • Technical operations experience:
Minimum 3 years of technical and mechanical building operations experience
  • Customer service & communication:
Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Availability:
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to building emergencies as required

Note:

This role requires the physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and to safely use ladders.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Recovery license and OSHA certification, or relevant state/local operating license
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) or trade school certificate emphasizing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety and building control systems
