Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary healthcare environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Performs a variety of cleaning and facility support duties to ensure hospital areas meet cleanliness and safety standards.

• Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, equipment, and woodwork.
• Clean walls, ceilings, door panels, windows, window sills, blinds, and glass surfaces.
• Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles in assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; replenish supplies as needed.
• Collect and remove debris from around the facility.
• Operate high- and low-speed floor care equipment, including stripping and buffing machines.
• Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for special events, meetings, and routine hospital activities.
• Identify and report building maintenance and repair needs in assigned areas.
• Follow established safety, infection prevention, and environmental services procedures.

• Previous housekeeping, custodial, environmental services, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
• Ability to perform physical duties that may include standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing equipment throughout the shift.
• Education High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
• Licenses and Credentials Experience
• Experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers 2-3 years required
