Incumbents of positions in this series inspect recreation facilities to recommend or perform repair work; review plans and specifications; operate tools and machinery; and perform related work as required. The basic purpose of this work is to repair and maintain electrical, heating and plumbing systems and equipment at recreation facilities.

• Inspect recreation facilities to determine the need for repair work and either recommend or perform minor electrical, heating, plumbing and/or equipment repairs to insure safety and maximum operating efficiency of such systems and equipment.
• Review blueprints, plans, schematics and/or technical manuals for maintenance purposes.
• Operate hand and power tools, pumps and generators, filter plants and associated equipment in connection with repair work.
• Perform related duties such as picking up supplies needed for maintenance and repair work.

• 2 years of experience required in related work. 3 years of experience preferred.
• Massachusetts Driver's license may be required.
