Field Supervisor, Janitorial Services

ABM Industries is seeking a Field Supervisor, Janitorial Services to lead cleaning teams across commercial and institutional facilities. This role oversees daily janitorial operations, scheduling, inspections, and quality standards to ensure safe, clean, and compliant environments. The supervisor trains and coaches staff, enforces safety and infection-control procedures, and partners with clients to address service needs. Ideal candidates bring strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience in commercial cleaning, floor care, and team supervision in fast-paced, diverse environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule janitorial staff across assigned facilities to meet service levels.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure cleaning quality, safety, and compliance with ABM standards.
• Train, coach, and support team members on procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
• Coordinate supplies and equipment, ensuring proper inventory and maintenance.
• Respond to client requests, resolve service issues, and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Implement and enforce safety, OSHA, and infection-control policies for all staff.
• Monitor productivity and performance, providing feedback and documenting issues as needed.
• Support onboarding of new employees and cross-training within the team.
• Prepare basic reports on staffing, inspections, and incident follow-up for management.
• Collaborate with ABM leadership to improve processes and support special projects or deep cleans.
