Bicycle Service Shop Manager ​/ Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking an experienced, skilled and passionate Bicycle Service Shop Manager to join our team in Bountiful, UT, to help lead and manager our talented Service Team of Mechanics. This role has a dual responsibility of Assistant Store Manager.

This individual is an integral part of our Bicycle Shop operations; customer satisfaction, and face of the business.

Our shop is experiencing strong growth (20%+ YOY for last three years, in a stagnant market) and high demand due to our excellent service, quality work, extensive knowledge of e-bicycles and repairs, quick turn around time, and positive experiences and interactions with our customers.

Here’s a more detailed description:

• Manage the team of mechanics in all aspects of the service department.
• Train, mentor, and educate team.
• Manage the cleanliness of the work shop.
• Follow and create SOPs for efficiency and productivity.
• This individual will also help turn the wrench in the following:
• Diagnose and repair bicycle issues, including e-bike electronic and power systems, brakes, drive train, headset, wheels, hubs, tires, and suspension.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, wheel trueing, brake bleeds, adjusting shifting, brakes, and suspension, and more..
• Build and assemble new bicycles, including custom builds, and mainly e-bikes.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electronic problems.
• Provide expert advice and recommendations to customers regarding bike maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Manage inventory of parts and tools.
• Assist with customer service and sales (As needed).

• Some managing experience.
• Proven experience as a bike mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of bicycle mechanics and repair techniques.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of bicycle issues.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move bicycles and parts. (50+ lbs)
• Dependability, strong work ethic, and positive demeanor and attitude

• Experience with premium and value-priced e-bicycles.
• Certifications in bicycle repair or maintenance.
• Experience with bike fitting and customization.
