The Environmental Services Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of the independent living areas including apartments, cottages, villas, common spaces, offices, and the health clinic. This position will be required to clean an average of 5000 to 6500 square feet a day, in addition to customized unit layouts, open floor plans, kitchens, multi-bathroom units, sunrooms, and multi-unit living spaces.
This position will be required to work rotations within our health center on weekends as assigned by the Environmental Services Manager. This position must be knowledgeable in all chemicals and equipment necessary to ensure the proper cleanliness and sanitation of our community.
- Performs the following tasks: dust mopping, wet mopping, vacuuming carpet in dwellings and corridors, high-dust and low-dust, emptying trash receptacles, sanitizing bathroom and kitchen surfaces, polishing furniture, cleaning interior windows, restocking toiletries, inspecting areas, and cleaning.
- Performs Housekeeping duties in the Community Building, Health Center, Apartment Building, Cottages, and Villas.
- Completes work order forms by annotating accurate work completion time and returns completed forms daily to the Environmental Services Team Leaders Office.
- Ensures daily that the Environmental Services work cart is stocked with cleaning chemicals and supplies, including trash liners, paper towels, micro-fiber mops, mop buckets, a broom and dustpan, and gloves; all cleaning chemicals must be labeled correctly.
- Must stock and maintain linens on proper levels of linens in linen closets.
- Must wear proper uniform and display Collington Identification Badge while on duty on Collington's campus and maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene.

- Light to moderate physical effort 90% of the time
- Must be able to stand and walk 90% of the workday.
- Ability to stoop, bend, and stretch frequently.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds frequently.
- Must be able to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. over cement, tile, and carpet surfaces over long distances.
- Must be able to operate a vacuum, work in confined spaces around furniture and breakable objects, and have constant contact with residents.
- Must be physically able to work with cleaning chemicals.
- Must be able to work in spaces with pets such as cats and dogs.
