Description
The essential functions of the Maintenance Ambassador Supervisor is to foster a sense of community by offering an unparalleled living experience for residents and providing excellence in customer service through maintaining the physical appearance and upkeep of the community; servicing residents’ day‑to‑day maintenance needs with respect to their apartment homes; providing corrective, preventative and emergency maintenance throughout the community; ensuring safe and satisfactory operation of apartment appliances;
performing plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and floor repairs; assisting with apartment turnover preparation; servicing community equipment and HVAC systems; and any other duties assigned.
The Maintenance Ambassador Supervisor is responsible for the management of the maintenance team to ensure the acceptable physical appearance of the community; servicing residents’ needs with respect to their apartment homes; providing corrective, preventative and emergency maintenance; ensuring safe and satisfactory operation of apartment appliances, minor plumbing/electrical carpentry, and floor repairs; managing apartment turnover preparation; and any other duties assigned. Additionally, the Supervisor must assess the strengths and weaknesses of the maintenance team and manage employee incentives accordingly, while creating and nurturing a sense of community and focusing on customer service standards.
Requirements- 5+ years maintenance experience with individual HVAC repair and preventative maintenance of individual or central plant equipment, appliances, plumbing, and electrical systems and repairs, fire safety equipment and repairs, supervision and preparation of apartment turnovers and flooring installations.
- Ability to oversee and perform all maintenance repairs and duties independently, professionally, and in a timely manner.
- Previous supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to supervise maintenance personnel.
- Initiative and motivation to continue training to develop skills, preferred (e.g., license and certifications).
- Exceptional organizational, time‑management, scheduling, and delegation skills; exceptional leadership/supervisory and personnel‑development skills. CFC – Type 2 may be required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, transportation to respond to emergency calls, and proof of motor‑vehicle insurance.
