Position Summary:

The Project Technician is responsible for improving the condition and appearance of the hospital by using specialized machinery and equipment for non‑routine cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Use proper equipment, including commercial vacuums, auto scrub machines, cord burnishes, buffers, upright scrubbing machines, mops, and other necessary tools, products, and supplies to complete daily assignments.
  • Perform general operational maintenance on equipment (checks, electrical cords, water levels in batteries, etc.), ensuring all equipment is clean, safe, and in good working condition. Follow all sign in/out procedures, identify maintenance needs beyond routine, and correctly report and tag broken equipment.
  • Execute cleaning tasks that are not routine, such as flood or disaster cleanup, terminal cleaning, construction cleaning, and other project-related activities.
  • Use chemicals and cleaning agents safely, following all MSDS guidelines and safety precautions.
  • Train new employees in floor care techniques, chemical and cleaning agent handling, and safety protocols, supporting the organization’s High Reliability Organization (HRO) standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • No degree or diploma required.
    • Familiarity with operating and maintaining floor care and project‑related equipment.
