We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Custodian Substitute.
The Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities (WCBDD) coordinates services for over 1,000 people with developmental disabilities in Wood County. Our mission is to support, empower, and inspire. The ideal candidate will be a highly self-motivated problem solver, flexible, detail oriented, and is a team player with time management skills, organizational skills, and leadership skills.
CUSTODIAN SUBSTITUTE- Bi-Weekly

Working Hours:
M-F, between 8:00am - 10:00pm; hours may vary according agency need
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, washes walls, cleans, dusts, clean and empty trash receptacles; cleans and disinfects all restrooms facilities (toilets, sinks, urinal, shower stalls, etc.); refurbishes and stocks supplies and closets; operates and maintains custodial equipment.
- Locks and unlocks buildings, offices, and classrooms upon request.
- Request, maintains, and distributes needed supplies (paper products and cleaning products) as needed.
- On a continuous basis, inspects building and equipment for needed repairs or replacement, evidence of fire, illegal entry and/or theft of property, and reports findings to the Custodial Supervisor.
- Duties such as, but not limited to representing agency to community through attendance at meetings or presentations before groups. Attend conferences, workshops, etc. designed to enhance professional growth. Assume other related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or administration.

- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of cleaners and chemicals, operation and care of cleaning equipment, and safe work practices in routine basic custodial procedures preferred.

- Must obtain and maintain any training, licenses, registration or certification mandated by the Board (Positive Supports First Training, CPR and First Aid Certification, etc.)
- All new employees must have medical examination and a one-step PPD test to determine fitness for duty. Initial medical examination must be completed within 30 days of employment. One-step PPD must be completed prior to providing direct care services.
- The employee is required to submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. Pre- employment and random testing results shall test negative in accordance with Board policy and procedure and any applicable state and/or federal law.
- Receipt of satisfactory criminal background reports in accordance with ORC 3319.39 and/or OAC . Must receive a satisfactory criminal background report from the County Sheriff of employee’s permanent address.
- Receipt of acceptable Ohio Department of Medicaid Exclusion & Suspension List, Ohio Department of DD Abuser Registry, Attorney General’s Office Ohio Offender Watch/Sex Offender Registry, System for Award Management, Ohio Nurse Aide Registry, Exclusions: OIG, and Office of Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections Offender Search as a condition of employment and yearly thereafter.
