Description

* supporting Fleet Maintenance operations in relation to maintaining effective parts inventories within the parts rooms, ordering parts/maintenance materials in emergencies, or as needed

* receiving items/parts into the parts room

* releasing/issuing items/parts and tools from the parts room

* maintaining the items/parts inventory in parts room and

* performing administrative tasks related to parts room inventory management

Required Qualifications

* high school diploma or its equivalent

* be at least 20 years old

* be able to work nights

* be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time

* knowledge of the operation of a parts room

* have a valid drivers license and authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before his or her start date in the position)

* ability to obtain certification and operate powered industrial equipment

* be able to lift a minimum of 65 pounds

* successfully complete the following tests (before his or her start date in the position)

* Basic Office Skills

* Following Written Instructions and

* Matching - Alphanumeric

* working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

* be able to read, write and solve math problems

* be able to read and interpret schematics, and technical and parts manuals

* be able to interpret, understand, and follow instructions

* be capable of generating and processing work on a computerized maintenance-management system

* be able to multi-task and work independently with little or no supervision

* ability to handle confidential information

* have the ability to work well with others and be a team member

* show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work and

* show commitment to Publix's mission.

Preferred Qualifications

* current Boynton Distribution associate

* Associate's degree in Business

* 3 years of prior experience in an industrial parts room environment or inventory related experience

* knowledge of the operation of a parts room in an industrial setting

* knowledge of basic accounting principles and statistical data analysis
