Building cleaning workers – including porters, janitors, maids, housekeeping cleaners, window washers and rug shampooers – keep premises of commercial or institutional building in clean and orderly condition.

• Clean offices, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas
• Wet- or dry‑mop floors, shampoo rugs, wash walls and glass, remove rubbish, pressure wash, remove gum and graffiti
• Make minor repairs, paint, carpentry, replenish bathroom supplies
• Landscape and snow removal
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
• Dust furniture and equipment
• Replace light bulbs
• Transport small equipment or tools between departments
• Set up tables and chairs in auditoriums, meeting rooms or halls

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience and less than 1 year of prior experience in working on a commercial or multi-unit residential property.

$13.01 - $18.22 hourly
