ENV SVCS WKR​/HOUSEKEEPER

Responsibilities

The Environmental Services Worker/Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning duties to maintain a clean and aseptic environment throughout the facility, including residential units, common rooms, and non-patient areas. The position works 7 am – 3:30 pm; rotating weekends off with every Tuesday off.

• Clean and service assigned areas of the building, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting rooms.
• Participate in project work, including wall washing, window washing, cleaning light fixtures, cleaning upholstery, cleaning vents, and scrubbing restrooms.
• Work under minimal supervision and determine cleaning needs with due consideration to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Report any unsafe working conditions or hazards to management immediately.

• Requirements: High School Diploma or GED preferred; housekeeping experience preferred. Must be able to work safely with cleaning supplies and multitask with safety practices.
• Must understand and communicate in English verbally and in writing; follow written and oral instructions and record completed assignments as required.
• Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or patient facility preferred but not required.
• Additional Requirements: Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, climb for up to eight hours; operate mechanical equipment; lift up to 50 lb and carry 10 lb.
• Background: Must pass a Level 2 Background Screening and agree to a pre‑employment drug test.
