Engineer Maintenance Team

Responsibilities

• Must have knowledge of critical operating systems including ammonia systems, boilers, generators, air compressors, turbine and glycol systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of safe work practices, especially for energized work, working at heights and confined spaces
• Ability to recognize, assess and mitigate or eliminate risk
• Use proper PPE for associated tasks
• Operate systems safely and efficiently in accordance with regulatory compliance and SOPs
• Perform predictive, planned, preventative and routine equipment rounds and service requests, and maintain CMMS documentation
• Assist with development and improvement of preventative maintenance programs, schedules, work instructions, SOPs and operational procedures
• Perform visual and operational inspection, interpret specs, blueprints and job standards
• Recommend measures to improve equipment performance and working conditions
• Determine or assist in analysing and resolving work problems and achieving work goals
• Flexibility to work a wide‑ranging and changing scope of responsibilities while adhering to procedures
• Team player, willing to train teammates and cross‑train as standard
• Comply with building policies on safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials and maintain clean workplace
• Participate in technical and safety training programs
• Perform work using proper safety equipment and in a safe manner
• Demonstrate tool and instrument safety, provide hands‑on instruction, recommend relevant training courses, and maintain professionalism
• Work to improve the preventative maintenance program
• Maintain compliance with all codes, laws and regulations through the JLL compliance program
• Perform additional duties as directed

• High school diploma and trade school or apprentice program
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in facility/plant operating engineering in a manufacturing or GMP/ISO environment
• Experience in critical facilities
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard business software
• Proficient navigation of web‑based applications and systems
• Ability to use handheld electronic devices (PDA, Blackberry, cell phone, etc.)

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional, responsive, and solutions‑oriented approach

• Boiler license and/or ammonia certification
• CFC Universal and/or Mass refrigeration licenses

Estimated compensation: 97,032. USD per year

On‑site – Bradley, IL
