Overnight Public Area Attendant

Salary Range: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour

• Check for maintenance issues such as plumbing, lighting, and HVAC, and report them.
• Clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, and restaurants.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport waste to designated areas.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
• Dust and polish all furniture and equipment.
• Maintain storage areas and keep linen carts clean and tidy.
• Replace light bulbs in common areas and offices.
• Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with the SDS manual for chemicals.
• Monitor and clean entries, stairs, and sidewalks.
• Assist guests, providing directions and resort information when possible.
• Implement and maintain excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Organized with strong communication skills.
• Decisive, flexible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective time management.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
• or experience in hotel cleaning roles.

• Valid driving license and company approval to drive company vehicles.

This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.

The employee is frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and occasional extreme temperatures and loud noise levels.

• Regularly required to sit, drive, talk, hear, stand, climb stairs, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently required to lift or move and carry upstairs 50 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds or more.
