Proof of the Pudding is an award‑winning catering company throughout the Southeast with a commitment to creating quality culinary concepts from scratch. The company expands into sports and entertainment hospitality services, providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, international boat shows, professional sports teams, and more.

Proof of the Pudding, a premier food service provider for all Premium/Suites Hospitality locations at Mississippi State University, is currently seeking experienced bartenders to join the team. This position works with the front‑of‑house team in the hospitality and club suites for football game days and other sporting events.

This is seasonal/part‑time work; business needs are dictated by athletic events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for both pre & post bar set‑up/breakdown.
  • Sets bar up in a timely manner.
  • Communicates well with bar back during event to assist with replenishment.
  • Greets all guests and provides exceptional customer service.
  • Attentive to guests’ needs throughout the entire event.
  • Cleans bar after closing, discards excess ice.
  • Responsible for placing all items back in the bar box as originally received.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education and/or Experience)
  • 2+ years of bartending experience.
  • Team player and phenomenal communicator.
  • Experienced in preparing mixed drinks.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • TIPs certified (or similar accredited certifications).
  • Extremely hardworking and organized.
  • Exceedingly responsible and accountable.
  • Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene.
  • Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles required.
SPECIALIZED SKILLS
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to lifting approximately 40 lbs.
  • Renowned time management and organization skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with the desire to go above and beyond client needs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment involves event operations and working out of the football stadium or similar venues. The position will often move throughout campus and stadium grounds on different terrains.

UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS

Adherence to company uniform requirements outlined in the associate handbook and orientation guidelines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Prolonged periods of being in one place, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue.
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to lifting approximately 40 lbs.

POSITION SALARY & BENEFITS

This is a part‑time hourly position; schedule will fluctuate based on business needs. Benefits include daily meals per shift, opportunity for advancement, on‑the‑job training applicable industry wide, and a flexible work schedule (excluding home football game days).
