The salary range listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years‑of‑service adjustments or shift differentials may exceed the salary range listed above.

This position will be located at Table Rock State Park, 5272 State Highway 165, Branson
. The shift is primarily Friday through Tuesday (five 8‑hour days per week), 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (30‑minute lunch break). Shifts may vary with the time of year and to meet the needs of the facility. This position will require working regularly or rotating weekends, nights, holidays, and special events, and be available to participate in meetings, workshops and seminars requiring overnight stays.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of semi‑skilled work in the alteration, maintenance, natural resource stewardship, and repair of state buildings and facilities.
  • Work in a variety of trade areas such as electrical, plumbing, concrete, masonry, carpentry, painting, plastering and mechanical repair in facilities and grounds.
  • Perform routine cleaning of park buildings, restrooms, shower houses, campsites and park grounds.
  • Maintain a valid vehicle operator’s license to operate and maintain licensed vehicles as well as tractors, mowers, skid steers and other grounds‑related equipment.
  • Operate and maintain lawn mowers, tractors, skid loaders, trucks, chainsaws, leaf blowers and similar mechanical equipment.
  • Assist with prescribed burns, wildfire suppression, herbicide application and other natural or cultural activities as directed with completion of Level 1 Prescribed Fire training.
  • May also oversee a crew engaged in maintenance tasks.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain an appropriate commercial operator’s license, water/wastewater certifications and/or other required licenses or certifications. If required and not currently possessed, the applicant will have six months to obtain the necessary license or certification.

    Knowledge of materials, methods and tools to construct objects, structures and buildings.

    Encourages and facilitates cooperation, pride, trust and group identity; fosters commitment and team spirit; works with others to achieve goals.
Equivalent Experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in any of the following trade areas: electrical, plumbing, concrete and masonry, carpentry, painting, plastering and mechanical repair. Additional education or experience may substitute for the required experience.
