JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARYMaintaining high company standards, the Maintenance Tech supplements maintenance, procedures, and management efforts to keep the resort in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Maintenance Tech contributes to the achievement of the maintenance department’s goals by providing daily attention to the appearance of resort buildings, grounds, and common areas. Responsible for the maintenance of all facilities including rooms, pools, laundry rooms, barbecues, fixtures, drains, grounds, and clubhouses, as assigned by the AGM, Maintenance. Remains informed and aware of conditions that could have an impact on our ability to maintain a high-quality environment for our guests and owners.
Maintenance Tech performs additional duties as assigned. Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintenance and troubleshooting in plumbing, electric and HVAC repairs with minimal assistance or supervision.
- Maintenance, troubleshooting, and installing all major appliances.
- Inspecting and reporting issues in the resort amenities, buildings, guest units, grounds, pool areas, and resort equipment
- Assists Techs with troubleshooting and installing equipment, appliances, and HVAC.
- Perform plumbing maintenance such as pipes, drains, faucets, disposals, showers, and Jacuzzi tubs using methods that include soldering, brazing silver, PVC, CPVC, and fittings.
- Backup support to others, special projects as requested, and/or any legitimate business task within the scope of your responsibilities.
- Maintenance on pools and pool equipment. Testing and adjusting pool chemical levels according to health codes.
- Conducting preventative maintenance on equipment, buildings, and guest units.
- Maintaining accurate records of repairs.
- Respond to maintenance calls from resort guests and staff.
- Report any major issues to the supervisor or manager.
- Ensure that all safety rules are observed.
- Practice and encourage proper safety procedures for equipment & chemical use.
- Practice and encourage proper safety procedures for physical exertion that involves bending, lifting, and climbing.
- Know tornado, fire, and disaster procedures and help coordinate evacuation efforts if necessary.
- Understand and be capable of completing the SMD accident/injury incident report forms/documents.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including the use of PPE and handling of chemicals in accordance with environmental and health guidelines, and maintain a clean and organized work environment that is safe for guests and staff.
Given that we are in the hospitality industry and operations are 24 hours, 7 days per week, schedules will vary by department based on seasonality and business needs.
