What you will do:

• Accountable for the safe and efficient maintenance of the resort through effective supervision of maintenance staff.
• Assist as required in solving complex maintenance problems, capable of rapid decision‑making, and help implement maintenance plans within budget constraints.
• Supervise the overall activities of the maintenance staff; train and mentor staff; follow up on maintenance technician jobs to ensure quality.
• Schedule and perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Complete work orders and daily projects reported by the front desk or otherwise assigned during shift.
• Assist in assigning duties to all employees.
• Perform skilled work in maintenance, repair, and upkeep of resort buildings and units, including carpentry, plumbing, filter maintenance, and light fixture maintenance.
• Maintain swimming pool and other aquatic facilities.
• Coordinate or install, inspect, repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, mechanical and related systems.
• Operate and maintain heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Good driving record free of significant violations.
• Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in Facility Management preferred.
• Experience in supervisory‑level resort maintenance.
• 1–2 years’ experience in building and facilities maintenance.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification.
• Hazardous material handling training within six months of hire date.
• 1 year experience in care, maintenance, and repair of large, commercial, or public swimming pools and associated equipment and facilities.
• Ability to multi‑task, spot safety risks and address them quickly.
• Proficient knowledge of OSHA guidelines and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), organizational and leadership skills, problem‑solving skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
