Maintenance Tech

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds across Shepherd of the Hills venues. This role ensures a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for guests, performers, and staff by performing routine inspections, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and structural issues, and responding promptly to maintenance requests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Perform routine and preventive maintenance on buildings, systems, and equipment across all venues.

Diagnose and repair issues in a timely and safe manner.

Respond to maintenance work orders and guest- or venue-impacting issues with appropriate urgency.

Conduct regular inspections of facilities, and equipment to identify safety hazards or needed repairs.

Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and general repair work as needed.

Maintain and troubleshoot small engines, motors, pumps, and mechanical systems.

Assist with seasonal setup and teardown of shows, events, and venue features.

Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work order records, and inventory of tools and supplies.

Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors on specialized repairs as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred.

Preferred 2+ years of experience in general maintenance, facilities, or a related trade (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical).Working knowledge of hand and power tools, and basic mechanical/electrical systems.

Ability to read and follow blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to pass a background check.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on seasonal show and event schedules.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly, and up to 75 lbs. occasionally.

Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, kneel, and bend for extended periods.

Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and precipitation.
