Senior Parks Operator
We are seeking a dedicated and customer‑service oriented individual to assist the Streets & Parks Manager and supervisors in maintaining the Town’s landscaped areas, sidewalks, roadways, paths, streetlights, athletic fields, and natural areas. This position has a significant focus on irrigation responsibilities including installation, repair, programming, and maintenance of irrigation systems.
Responsibilities• Maintain various types of landscapes, machinery, equipment, and tools in a safe and efficient manner, analyzing, repairing, and performing improvements to Town features.
• Share responsibility for pavement maintenance, snow & ice removal, and drainage maintenance.
• Keep record‑keeping duties including safety data sheet information, daily safety checks, cleaning logs, sledding hill maintenance log and mapping.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in grounds maintenance or related construction field, including experience pertinent to the duties above. (May be waived for internal applicants.)
- Ability to complete pre‑employment background, motor vehicle record, and drug & alcohol screenings.
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License within 30 days of hire.
- Valid Colorado CDL with Class B and Tanker endorsement within 60 days of hire.
- Valid DOT Physical Card within 30 days of hire.
- Experience in at least one of the following areas is highly preferred: heavy equipment, irrigation, athletic field preparation, turf maintenance, sub‑alpine horticulture, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, aesthetics, special event support, janitorial procedures, and all OSHA, CIRSA, and HAZMAT safety procedures.
$27.50 – $33.06 per hour; $57,200 – $68,764.80 if annualized.
Work ScheduleShifts may include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on‑call as needed, up to 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required at management discretion.
