Classification: Custodian II-BBHES

Effective: TBD

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:30 PM (8 hours per day)

Starting Date: To Be Determined

Starting Wage: $17.93–$18.65 per hour

Position Type: Full‑Time

Salary: $17.93 to $21.17 per hour

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Related experience
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be found appropriate by the Superintendent and Board
• Exemplary verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work effectively with others
• Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
• Practical, active listening skills
• Organizational and problem‑solving skills
• Knowledge of heating and cooling systems
• Knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Training in the proper care and storage of chemicals, e.g., OSHA/PERRAC training
• Ability to read written instructions, warnings, and labels, and understand verbal directions
• Mechanically inclined with an attitude to do minor repairs, evaluate and assess mechanical concerns, and report problems to the Head Custodian for further evaluation
• Acceptance of building use and the need for flexibility in cleaning schedules

• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
