Position Overview
Floor Crew (Swing) – Bremerton, Washington (Puget Sound Naval Shipyard)
Full‑time, swing shift (2:30pm‑11pm). Hourly pay: $24.07–$24.07, plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential.
Responsibilities- Perform floor care work such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, reconditioning, waxing, buffing, spot cleaning, carpet shampooing, and vacuuming.
- Operate floor care machines, including powered pressure washer, on sidewalks, streets, parking lots, and other structures.
- Fill and empty mop buckets.
- Measure and mix chemicals.
- Conduct construction clean‑up, cleaning dust and debris during or after construction projects.
- Use and maintain personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, safety toe boots, hearing protection, gloves).
- Operate a motor vehicle to assigned work locations.
- Complete and submit the 'Questionnaire for National Security Positions Standard Form (SF86)' packet within 90 days of employment, as required for a secret clearance.
- Prior Floor Crew experience preferred.
- A valid state driver’s license is required; must be able to obtain and maintain Tessera insurance coverage.
- Access to a federal military installation requires a REALID‑compliant driver’s license or an acceptable alternative (U.S. passport, military ); a valid security clearance and installation access are also required.
- A background check and E‑Verify will be conducted.
- Lifting and/or moving up to 70pounds.
- Performing repetitive motion, reaching, kneeling, walking, standing, or sitting for several hours.
- Climbing in and out of a vehicle and up/down stairs.
- Working under pressure for extended periods.
