Work Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift
Compensation: $21.52 - $21.52 per hour

Tessera is seeking a reliable and hard-working Janitor with a positive attitude.
Duties- Restroom cleaning – sanitize, clean toilets, urinals, sinks, and fixtures; restock supplies; collect trash and replace liners; sweep and mop floors; follow cross contamination procedures.
- Office cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule; spot entry doors.
- Cleaning halls and high traffic areas – sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule; spot entry doors.
- Cleaning entrances and exits – sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule.
- Trash collection – from lunchrooms, coffee areas, restrooms, shower/locker daily; office areas according to schedule.
- Dusting – in lunch/coffee areas, restrooms, shower/locker areas, and dust‑free areas only.
- Cleaning stairwells – sweep, mop, vacuum, wipe handrails according to schedule.
- Cleaning portable showers – clean all shower stalls; damp wipe for dust; restock supplies; mop floors following cross contamination procedures.
- Maintaining lockers – clean and organize; clean and rinse all equipment before storing.
- Wet/dry mopping – wet/dry mop each floor according to schedule.
- Sweeping – sweep each area according to schedule.
- Communicating with customers – always be courteous and professional when speaking with customers.
- Work up to a 40-hour work week.
- Complete and submit a ‘Questionnaire for National Security Positions Standard Form (SF86)’ packet within 90 days of employment, as applicable for secret clearance.
- Working knowledge of work areas at PSNS, including waterfront areas is preferred.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- 6 months of janitorial experience preferred.
- Ability to perform physical demands for extended periods with or without assistance; reasonable accommodations may be provided.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.
- Stand or sit for extended periods; climb in and out of a vehicle; navigate stairs.
- Persevere under pressure for extended periods.
- A valid state driver’s license is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
- Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL
-compliant driver’s license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military , in accordance with the REAL . - Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
