Facilities Operations Assistant
This position is part of HII's Mission Technologies division, which plays a critical role in supporting Enterprise-Level Security and Modernization efforts across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, physical facilities, and personnel operations. The Facilities Operations Assistant provides technical support for the daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of physical infrastructure, building utilities, logistics, and low-voltage systems within a facility. Operating under the direction of the building manager, this position performs hardware adjustments, technical testing, and administrative coordination to maintain physical, acoustic, and facility infrastructure standards.
This is an individual contributor role with no supervisory, leadership, or policy-making responsibilities. The selected candidate will contribute to a high-impact government program focused on enhancing and securing mission-critical systems and environments.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
- Must have basic technical knowledge (such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance) and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment and possess a basic knowledge of construction principles.
- Must possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities and work independently.
- Active TS/SCI required to start. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph to remain in position.
Level Requirements:
- Level 2:
High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience. - Level 3:
High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience. - Level 4:
High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Technical school education preferred.
- Two (2) year maintenance experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment.
- Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
- May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams.
