Are you mechanically minded, dependable, and someone who takes pride in keeping equipment running smoothly? Somic America is looking for a Maintenance PM Technician to join our team!
This is a hands-on position focused on preventive maintenance (PM) throughout our manufacturing facility. You’ll play an important role in keeping our equipment maintained, our workplace safe, and our production team moving.
What You’ll Do- Completing scheduled preventive maintenance work orders
- Checking and maintaining fluid levels and lubrication on assigned equipment
- Assisting Maintenance Technicians when needed
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Identifying and suggesting opportunities for improvement
- Working with the Maintenance and Facilities Manager to support and manage the PM program as your skills develop
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Related maintenance, mechanical, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, diagrams, schedules, and technical procedures
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A strong commitment to safety and quality
This is an active, hands-on role in a manufacturing environment. You’ll regularly be on your feet, working around production equipment and occasionally bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, or reaching.
The position also requires the ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and work safely around moving mechanical equipment.
