Head of Building Maintenance

Gamble Sands is hiring for a Full Time Head of Building Maintenance!

• Performs repairs of maintenance and ensures cleanliness of the entire facility.
• Manages contracts and contracted services that pertain to the maintenance of the facility and grounds.
• Oversees operation of mechanical and power equipment utilized in the maintenance of the facility.
• Coordinate exterior property cleaning and maintenance in accordance with company standards.
• Implement policies and procedures for the Building Maintenance Department, including compliance of all company standards relating to quality of products and services.
• Responsible for training, planning, assigning and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Monitoring business volume forecasts and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses.
• Managing department members that may include, but not limited to :
  Assistant Maintenance Manager, Carpenters, Security, Electricians, Technicians, Maintenance Staff and Plumbers.
• Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate. Develops ongoing training programs for department.
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven experience and expertise as a manager or relevant experience.

• Knowledge of POS system.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Valid Washington State Driver License. Other applicable mechanical/equipment license (Boiler, HVAC ect).

• Frequently stands, walks and lifting
• Regularly uses hands, pushes, pulls, reaches with arms and hands, talks and listens.
• Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches.
• Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.
• Noise level is moderate.
