Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Toolmaker
Put your Tool and Die experience to work creating the jigs, fixtures, dies, and tooling used to manufacture medical instruments. This is a hands-on opportunity for a skilled Toolmaker who enjoys complex projects, tight tolerances, and solving problems that keep production moving. Direct Hire - $35 - $47 hr
- Bridgeport location.
- Build, repair, and rework precision tooling from blueprints, written instructions, or verbal direction.
- Set up and operate CNC machining centers, manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and other tool room equipment.
- Plan machining operations based on materials, tolerances, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
- Inspect completed work to print, document results, troubleshoot issues, and complete preventive maintenance.
- Help train and support new Toolmakers and Apprentices while maintaining a safe, organized work area.
- 5+ years of Tool and Die making experience.
- A high school diploma or GED; vocational training or an apprenticeship is preferred.
- Proficiency with CAD and/or CAM, along with strong blueprint-reading and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, complete complex work independently, and provide realistic completion estimates.
- Exceptional precision, attention to detail, and a team-focused approach.

Pay range - $35 - $50 hr , DOE
Pay Details:$35.00 to $50.00 per hour
