Environmental Estimator

Job Title: Estimator
Location: Remote (South Chicago Area)
Salary Range: $80,000 – $95,000 (based on experience)
Bonus: Biannual performance-based bonuses (July November)

As an Estimator, you will conduct field visits to assess projects, prepare timely estimates, and build relationships with referral partners. You’ll be responsible for completing 4 estimates daily throughout the greater Chicago area, drafting proposals the same day, and occasionally covering the office or attending monthly team meetings.

• Conduct 4 on-site estimates per day within 100 miles of Chicago.
• Write and send proposals in Microsoft Word (PDF format) same-day.
• Develop relationships and generate leads by visiting local referral partners (e.g., flooring companies, HVAC contractors).
• Interpret building systems and assess labor, materials, permits, and scope of abatement work.
• Stay informed on local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
• Attend monthly in-office meetings and provide occasional office coverage.

• 2+ years of sales experience required.
• Understanding of residential construction, building systems, or environmental services preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Two years of college required; construction management or architecture education is a plus.

We want someone who enjoys meeting people, has sales drive, and can be trained in estimating if needed. A successful candidate will be confident, presentable, and proactive—especially in growing business through untapped referral channels.
