Position: General Greenhouse Worker (Maintenance)

Position Summary

GREENHOUSE WORKER (MAINTENANCE) – Temporary/Seasonal Year‑Round;
Hourly Agricultural. Compensation: $17.84-$18.50/hour. Status:
Temporary/Seasonal Year‑Round;
Hourly Agricultural.

Schedule:

35‑55+ hr/week (based on greenhouse needs). Schedules 5‑6 days per week. All candidates must have Saturday & Sunday availability.

Reports To:

Maintenance Supervisor (Demetrio).

We are actively hiring and interviewing General Greenhouse Workers to assist with seasonal/temporary projects in our Maintenance Department from July 2026 to December 2026. This role is eligible for continuation of employment into the seasonal December‑May peak season within the maintenance team or other departments. Continued employment after May 2026 or promotion to an equivalent year‑round Maintenance Worker position ($18.00‑$18.50/hour) depends on business needs and performance of seasonal staff.

There are 2‑4 positions available as of July 2026, with work starting approximately July 13th. The position is located at our North facility (Brighton, CO). Maintenance Workers assist with maintaining, cleaning, and performing preventative maintenance at the greenhouse facility.

Roles & Responsibilities

Maintenance Workers must be able to work independently and in small teams following directions. Required 6 months to 3 years of general maintenance experience, equipment troubleshooting, and use of basic maintenance tools.

Preferred experience:

greenhouse equipment, welding, electrical, boilers, plumbing.

General Worker essential functions/duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Install/maintain irrigation systems and water lines.
  • Dig and maintain ditches, clear debris from fields and clean/maintain greenhouse buildings, structures, equipment, and agricultural work areas.
  • Assist with building, maintaining, or repairing greenhouse/farm areas. Build/repair fences or barriers.
  • Build, maintain, or break down racks.
  • Follow instructions in a way that will produce high quality work within the projected time.
  • Assist and perform equipment maintenance on greenhouse technology and systems including Greenhouse structures, greenhouse work areas, heating systems, cooling systems, irrigation systems, growing equipment, electrical systems, guest worker housing, and general grounds.
  • Assist and perform installations, maintenance/repairs, or construction tasks as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures on a scheduled basis, including cleaning, testing, treating, and calibrating per Maintenance Supervisor/Manager instructions.
  • Maintain and utilize maintenance equipment and safety gear.
  • Inspect properties and communicate with Maintenance Supervisor/Manager regarding proper groundskeeping, general cleanup, and maintenance.
Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years or older and be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must have basic proficiency in electrical/plumbing repair, including but not limited to 1‑3 years’ experience working in greenhouse maintenance or completing basic residential repairs (connecting a sink, digging drainage tunnels, laying down new pipes, identifying a breaker, connecting wires under supervision, and following safety requirements related to electrical safety such as lock‑out tag‑out).
  • Must be able to complete work at heights above 10 feet while using adequate fall protection.
  • Must be able to work in all greenhouse conditions including wet, humid, dusty, dirty, and extreme hot/cold temperatures.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently push/pull racks on wheels of up to 100 pounds, and occasionally move benches or products of up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, or crawl for long periods.
  • Must have specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral and depth perception.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and communicate in a timely and respectful manner when speaking to clients, other greenhouse teams, managers, and coworkers.

While performing the duties of this job, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. Employees must abide by the safety procedures set by Tagawa Greenhouse Ent., LLC. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
