Express Employment Professionals in Brookfield is currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Assurance Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with previous quality, laboratory, or manufacturing experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in maintaining high product standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine quality testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished materials to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications.
- Conduct physical and mechanical testing such as hardness, melt flow, tensile strength, and visual inspections.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including balances, ovens, presses, extrusion equipment, and testing instruments.
- Accurately document testing results, quality findings, and production data within company systems.
- Identify non-conforming materials or out-of-specification results and communicate concerns to leadership.
- Assist with investigations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and production processes.
- Work closely with Production, Shipping, and Quality teams to help maintain production schedules and product consistency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Previous experience in quality assurance, quality control, laboratory testing, or manufacturing environments required.
- Experience with in plastics, thermoplastics, automotive, or other regulated manufacturing industries is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize inconsistencies or defects.
- Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office, and quality tracking systems.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 60 lbs consistently throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in both laboratory and manufacturing environments.
- Must be able to wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes.
