Production Worker – Batch Mixing Department
This role focuses on batch mixing and production support in a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility. You will handle dry and liquid ingredients, operate mixing and filling machinery, follow detailed recipes, and maintain an organized and compliant work area in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
Responsibilities- Load, weigh, and stage dry ingredients according to production recipes and batch requirements.
- Gather raw materials and ingredients from inventory and ensure they are correctly labeled and available for each batch.
- Set up, operate, and monitor machinery used for cooking, mixing, and liquid filling into tanks.
- Dump and add ingredients into kettles and mixing tanks, including climbing ladders and working on mezzanines above tanks.
- Follow recipes and production instructions precisely to mix and add ingredients in the correct sequence and quantities.
- Wait for product to cook while monitoring equipment and batch status to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Clean, sanitize, and organize workstations, tools, and surrounding areas to maintain GMP standards.
- Cut boxes, open packaging, and prepare materials for mixing and production runs.
- Stage materials and supplies for upcoming batches to ensure efficient workflow and minimal downtime.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and safe use of ladders and equipment.
- Work effectively on packaging lines and general production tasks as needed to support overall operations.
- Communicate with team members and leads regarding material needs, batch status, and any issues with machinery or product.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment.
- At least 1 year of packaging experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in food, ingredients, or similar production.
- Ability to comfortably lift up to 40 lbs individually on a regular basis.
- Ability to comfortably climb ladders and work on a mezzanine above kettles and tanks (approximately 5–7 foot ladders, low mezzanine).
- Experience with machine operation or machine operating in a production environment.
- Experience with general production and general labor tasks, including packing and material handling.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and recipes accurately.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization in a GMP-compliant environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with blending and batch mixing processes.
- Familiarity with blenders, mixing equipment, packaging machinery, and production lines.
- Bilingual communication skills.
- Comfort working around kettles, tanks, and cooking machinery.
- Ability to work both weekday and weekend shifts as needed.
- Willingness to wear required GMP attire, including hairnets, beard nets, work pants, and non-slip boots.
- Comfort working in a slightly warmer environment near cooking and mixing equipment.
