Position Summary

The environmental specialist is responsible for the internal and external upkeep and cleanliness of assigned Father Bill’s & Main Spring owned or operated properties throughout the south shore. The environmental specialist maintains safe and hazard-free living and working conditions in all buildings. This is a Full-time/40 hours per week position reporting to the Facilities Manager. 1+ years of experience in property upkeep preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Performs a range of housekeeping duties to maintain a clean interior and exterior environment throughout assigned properties.
  • Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Facilities Manager for immediate resolution.
  • Maintains daily cleaning of assigned properties.
  • Ensure the availability of clean linens through washing, drying and folding linens as assigned.
  • Basic tasks include, but are not limited to: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, polishing, dusting, and the cleansing of any and all designated objects/areas.
  • Operate vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, buffers and wall washing equipment including any other power machinery as instructed.
  • Maintains stock of all housekeeping supplies in assigned areas and maintains housekeeping closets and equipment.
  • Performs daily floor care maintenance.
  • Sets up and cleans meeting rooms.
  • Collects and disposes of trash and waste (both infectious and non-infectious) as needed.
  • Cleans, disinfects and sanitizes items such as bathroom sinks, floor, and shower (if applicable); fill soap dispenser, and paper towel and tissue dispensers.
  • Communicates to supervisor any repairs needed and submits appropriate work orders.
  • Follows established safety procedures.
