Environmental Services Associate II Evenings

Position Summary

Boston Medical Center - South seeks a Full‑Time Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly hospital environment according to established procedures. The ideal candidate will move furniture, equipment, and supplies, perform cleaning duties throughout all hospital departments, and use germicidal solutions and mechanical equipment to ensure sanitary conditions.

• Select cleaning materials and supplies and prepare chemicals per procedure.
• Load maid’s carts and transport them to work areas.
• Clean assigned areas: wash furniture, tile, fixtures, equipment, and high‑touch surfaces (doorknobs, handrails, telephone, light switches, monitors, walls, doors, ceilings, vents, televisions, windows).
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot‑clean floors and carpets using appropriate solutions.
• Arrange furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion after cleaning.
• Request cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
• Operate mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment.
• Report equipment needing repair to the manager.
• Report safety hazards to the manager.

• High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent related experience preferred.
• Some work‑related experience desirable; willingness to train required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Capacity to prioritize work under busy conditions and in high‑traffic areas.

Compensation Range: $17.92 – $26.63 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, paid time off, career advancement opportunities, and more.
