Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

We are looking for a Switchgear Testing Technician. This position will be based in Broken Arrow, OK.
First shift hours: 6:30 am‑3:00 pm.
As a Testing Technician with the world’s most respected manufacturer of automatic transfer switches and power control systems, you will ensure that our custom‑manufactured products leave the factory in compliance with customer specifications and according to our quality standards. Your work will help deliver niche equipment that makes the world a safer and more reliable place, including hospitals, data centers, utilities, and mass transportation.
Responsibilities- Verify Bill of Material, read and interpret schematics, check wiring, and perform mechanical checks.
- Record serial numbers; apply labels; key and install breakers and interconnects.
- Ground and set up test equipment, take job pictures, and disburse test documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Perform DC, AC, and current testing.
- Execute all functional testing and complete requirements on Straight Emergency Systems.
- Conduct dielectric testing.
- Upload and edit SCADA, PLC, and protective relay programs; set up and address communication devices.
- Assist with other aspects of the test department’s responsibilities as needed.
- High school diploma, equivalent experience, or state‑recognized GED required; associate degree or higher in electrical studies preferred.
- Experience maintaining, crafting, installing, commissioning, or testing electrical components and/or systems.
- Ability to travel 5%.
- Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Attention to detail, time management, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet customer needs.
- Legal authorization for employment in the United States.
- Previous experience with switch gear.
