Manufacturing Engineering Technician – Broken Arrow, OK What You Will Do

  • Perform technical tasks under the direction of an engineer or manager.
  • Prepare detailed estimates of quantities and costs of materials and labor required.
  • Interact regularly with customers and co-workers.
  • Follow all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements.
  • Read and follow written and/or verbal directions and use a computer to communicate, create, and access information.

Minimum Qualifications

This safety-sensitive role may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.

  • One year experience with mechanical assembly work.
  • Operating a manual lathe or mill.
  • Welding (MIG and stick).
  • Single and three-phase electrical work.
  • Ability to interpret machine drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Working knowledge of hand and power tools, overhead crane.
  • Speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as required.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Medium work involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Requires personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hardhats, hearing protection, and respirators. May stand, walk, stoop, sit, bend, twist, grasp, lift, climb. Requires visual and hearing acuity. Activities occur indoors and outdoors. Extreme heat: temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Hazards include proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, or exposure to chemicals.

Atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. Exposure to oils and other cutting fluids may occur.
