The Operating Engineer Class 2 plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the facility’s mechanical systems. This position involves monitoring and troubleshooting equipment, following preventive maintenance schedules, and operating high-capacity boilers. The role requires the ability to install and maintain a variety of mechanical equipment and systems, as well as apply water treatment processes.

• Monitor and troubleshoot assigned equipment.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules for testing, cleaning, planned repairs, equipment lubrication, and operation.
• Install and maintain mechanical equipment within the plant operations area.
• Operate and maintain boilers with a capacity up to and exceeding 12,500,000 BTU/hr.
• Test, calculate, and apply water treatment to various water systems including boiler condensate and cooling towers.
• Collect and analyze utilities data for performance trends.
• Read and interpret building and control drawings.

• Experience in boiler maintenance and facilities maintenance.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment lubrication.
• Proficiency in installing and maintaining mechanical systems and plant equipment.
• Skill in operating and maintaining high-capacity boilers and related systems.
• Competence in applying water treatment to heating and cooling systems.
• Capability to collect and review utility data for performance trends.
• Ability to interpret building and control drawings for maintenance tasks.

• Professionalism and motivation to learn new systems.
• Strong attendance record.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $28.00/hr.
