Job Title

The job involves cleaning and maintaining buildings/installations. This includes performing heavy cleaning tasks such as cleaning floors, washing carpets, washing walls and glass, and removing trash.

The role requires notifying managers about the need for minor or major repairs or additions to the building's operating systems.

Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, coworkers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.

Complies with all safety, compliance, and quality standards set by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.

The cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all assigned tasks.

Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. Follows procedures for using chemical cleaners and electrical equipment to avoid damage to floors and fixtures.

Sometimes uses ladders and dusts, washes furniture, walls, machines, and equipment, cleans ceilings and dusts, polishes lamps, and washes and replaces blinds.

Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, drawers, and equipment to clean areas, either manually or using hand trucks.

Uses chemicals and cleaning solutions to remove stains from surfaces such as carpets, curtains, walls, and floors. May also rake paths, mow lawns, shovel snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.

Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.

Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors.

Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including applying stain cleaning treatment.

Collects and empties trash.

Cleans and disinfects tables, chairs, and equipment in food areas.

Cleans and polishes furniture and accessories.

Attends, cleans, and stocks restrooms.

Periodically cleans ventilation grilles, dusts blinds, and polishes wooden furniture.

Cleans interior glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.

Sets up, organizes, and removes decorations, tables, and chairs to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.

Maintains the janitor's closet clean and orderly and keeps equipment in good working condition.

Requests supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Monitors building security and safety by performing tasks such as closing doors after operating hours and possibly checking the use of household appliances to ensure no hazards are created.

Drives vehicles (if required) to perform or transport cleaning work, including vans or industrial vacuums.

Expected to perform basic repairs.

Various tasks as assigned.
