Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Brook Park, OH, for a Controls System Technician. The role entails maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing control systems and equipment to ensure seamless facility operations. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, providing technical support, and training staff on proper equipment usage and safety protocols. Collaborating with the team to maintain high operational standards is a key aspect of this position.

- Monitor and troubleshoot existing PLC-based control systems using diagnostic tools
- Identify automation-related faults, inconsistencies
Programming Scope
- Execute minor, predefined parameter adjustments (e.g., setpoints, timers)
- Assist with testing and verification of logic changes developed by OEM or other
- No responsibility for original programming, system architecture, or control strategy development
Instrumentation & Devices
- Verify operational status and assist with PMs of field devices (sensors, VFD's, safety networks, push buttons, e-stops, 24-volt systems, t-stats, etc.)
- Identify larger electrical failures as needed and request corrective action from Master Electrician
- Assist with signal verification and documentation updates
- Does not perform certified calibration or electrical installation
Maintenance & Production Coordination
- Respond to automation-related production issues (sensors, plc, faults, safety switches, push buttons, VFD's, HMI, 24-volt systems)
- Assist with 2nd shift issues and/or preventive improvements and support daily startups with pre inspections, calibration and changeovers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education, Training and/or Experience
High school diploma or vocational school training.Associates degree in Control Systems, Automated Systems, or Related Field is a big plusKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics
Basic experience with Microsoft Office applications and use of intranet and internet.Moderate mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic fundamentals of maintenance.Developed troubleshooting skills to determine causes of operating errors and resolve problems.Working knowledge of safety codes and other regulatory requirements.Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills.Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as chemical labels, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.High degree of initiative and independent judgment.Ability to express self effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing.Ability to tactfully and effectively deal with public and staff in a personable and professional manner.Maintains a high level of energy and a consistent positive attitude.Certifications, Licenses, registrations

Technical training with related equipment.Exposure to high-speed equipment.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment and industrial equipment.Requires walking, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 75 lbs. regularly and independently. Majority of time spent standing to perform job duties.Nature of work requires depth perception, normal vision, normal finger dexterity and ability to crouch, reach, hear, communicate and exchange information at normal speaking levels.Requires occasional evening and weekend hours as business needs demand.Requires participation and attendance at organization sponsored events and meetings.WORKING CONDITIONS
